Jean-Claude Mourlevat is a 67-year old youth writer who wrote more than 25 novels published around the world. His novels include La Rivière à l’envers, L’Enfant Océan, La Balafre, La Combat d’hiver, and Le Chagrin du roi mort, to name but a few. Many of those novels gained recognition through literary prizes both with youth and adult panels. While in residency, Mourlevat plans on writing a novel for teenagers and young adults.
