ADDICTED TO LIFE is an experiment in polyphonic comics mixing memory / interview / confessional / research exploring the contours and conundrums of counterculture in San Francisco and the Bay Area from 1966 til' never

Kelsey Westphal (alias Krusty Wheatfield) will spend her two weeks at Villa SF making comics based on explorations of the city, historical research, her personal memories of the East Bay DIY scene of the 2010s, and interviews with countercultural publisher V Vale of RE/Search Publications.

During her stay, she will write a question for passersby to the Villa San Francisco window every morning.

The goal will be to make a handful of short interview comics with local wanderers, based on a phone call or email conversation spurred by the public question.
